Stronger together

April 3, 2014

“Again, truly I tell you that
if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for,
it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.

For where two or three gather in my name,
there am I with them.”

Matthew 18:19

Prayer of the day:

My Lord,

today I will thank you for my friends,

all beautiful people that are as gifts from heaven for me.

I thank you for these wonderful people,

who help me

and share this journey with me.

*

Dear God,

Please, Bless my friends,

surround them with Your Peace

and everlasting grace.

*

Give them strength

and fulfil their needs with Your Love.

Amen.

***

Each day gives us a new opportunity.
But at the same time,
each day brings new challenges to overcome.

To stay strong,
to keep your heart open and upright ,
you need people who have similar values with you.

In order to remain strong ,
we need people who have faith,
who are empathetic and loving.

***

Our car broke yesterday evening,

and I’m really thankful for all help we got from some of our friends

– in the middle of the night!

***

On the other hand,

My illness has been some kind of playing hide and seek with different fears.

I have noticed that some people like to infect others with fears.
The worst part has been,  that some of the hospital staff have been negative
and even intimidated me.

Sometimes intimidation has been disguised in words:
” Surely you should know the truth… “

“You never know…” or
“It’s good to know the worst-case scenario, so you don’t expect too much.”

If I have wanted to live a normal life,
I have been told :
“If I were you, I would not dare to travel ”
“In your case, I wouldn’t sigh with relief yet. “

Such people should be avoided like the plague .

People who make us depressed,
they just bring out our fears and weaknesses,
and eat our strength .

***

No wonder it’s said in bible:

Be on your guard;
stand firm in the faith;
be courageous;
be strong.

Do everything in love.
